Digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoins exhibit extraordinary price volatility compared to conventional financial instruments. Market valuations can fluctuate widely over very brief intervals, triggered by factors entirely beyond human or algorithmic control, including regulatory interventions, macro-economic announcements, exchange liquidations, market sentiment, and technological shocks.

Such extreme volatility may cause rapid, irreversible losses. In severe liquidity environments, stop-loss orders may experience severe slippage and fill at levels far below the designated parameter.

Orange Tree provides programmatic tools, numerical models, automated execution modules, and technical analytics. While our algorithms undergo stringent testing, software execution is subject to technical vulnerabilities, including:

API Latency and Execution Desynchronization: Connectivity interruptions between the platform and third-party exchanges may result in delayed order placement, unexecuted stops, or duplicate trade requests.
Algorithmic Overfitting: Historical backtests and model calibrations do not guarantee future profitability. Market regimes change unpredictably, rendering previously successful algorithmic strategies ineffective.
System Outages: Network downtimes, infrastructure failures, or exchange matching-engine halts can disable algorithmic management while market prices continue to move.

4. Leverage and Liquidation Risks

Utilizing leverage or margin trading exponentially amplifies risk. When trading leveraged futures, perpetual swaps, or margin contracts, a minor adverse market movement can trigger total margin loss and instantaneous liquidation of your position. Margin calls occur swiftly; failure to meet exchange margin requirements results in forced liquidation without warning.

5. Counterparty and Exchange Custodial Risks

Orange Tree is a non-custodial software service provider. We do not hold client funds, trade balances, or private wallets. All capital rests directly with third-party exchanges or brokers selected by the user. You bear full exposure to third-party counterparty risk, which encompasses exchange insolvencies, withdrawal suspensions, cyber breaches, regulatory freezes, or technical downtime at the exchange venue.

6. No Regulated Investment or Financial Advice

Nothing presented on the Orange Tree website, platform interface, calculators, documentation, or marketing collateral constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or regulatory advice. Orange Tree does not act as an investment manager, portfolio advisor, fiduciary, or licensed broker under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any comparable supervisory authority.

Calculators, sample ROI visualizers, and backtest simulations are purely illustrative educational demonstrations and do not represent guaranteed returns or contractual forecasts of performance.

By engaging with Orange Tree software, you explicitly acknowledge and confirm that:

You possess the technical knowledge, risk tolerance, and economic resilience required to absorb total loss of capital.
You are solely responsible for testing and monitoring all automated strategies, API connectivity parameters, stop-loss levels, and margin allocations.
You release Orange Tree and its officers from any liability for trading losses, opportunity costs, software latency, or third-party exchange defaults.
